Garner Planning has secured planning permission for 9 bungalows on a greenfield site on the edge of Thornton Cleveleys.

The site is not identified for development but given the shortage of housing in Wyre Borough and the sustainable location of the site, planning officers recommended approval.

As a result of discussions with  planning officers it was necessary to reduce the number of dwellings to address a flood risk issue affecting part of the site.

No affordable housing is to be provided but the nature of bungalows meets a specific housing need with the dwellings particularly suitable for older persons.

Members of the Planning Committee were delighted with scheme and voted unanimously approve the application.
